A beauty, Alice. I have been away from my Florida garden for a while now and am looking forward to getting back to it to see what's in bloom.

Your bird looks very healthy Alice! It's amazing how long a bloom period the birds have, isn't it?!

Leida R do you remember how long ago I posted pics of my bird of paradise? It's still blooming now. That's a long time!

Alice G well of course I am jealous, you plant is beautiful. I have 2 different looking birds that are getting old and look green and healthy but haven't bloomed since day 1. They must be fakes.

Sherrie I have dwarf birds of paradise and it took 2 years for mine to start blooming I only get maybe 3 birds on each plant.

Douglas Hunt you want my honest opinion about my plants? I think they look like crap. Maybe they are not birds of paradise after all. Alice G my plants are much older than your dwarf and mine have had NO birds.

Sherrie S: Yes, that's what I meant. Perhaps you do not really have birds. Perhaps you were sold something else as birds. It's been known to happen!

Douglas Hunt Yes it does look like Alice's (minus the bird). I'll post later today, I'm working on a sinkhole problem right now. NOT A BIG sinkhole, but a problem.
