I have a 6' wide brick fireplace with a floor to ceiling measure of 9'. Can anyone recommend a method that would allow me to "hang" pictures on this blank wall? Thank you in advance for your suggestions. Debbie.

Google a product called "Brick Clips:. The are a metal clip that fits around the brick. I use them for all sorts of things on my fireplace from Christmas stockings to quilts and pictures. Check the hardware store for them too. Good Luck.

We've drilled holes in our exterior Indiana limestone that covers our house, then put in masonry screws to hang things They have held well. One of the galleries here where I hung my artwork has a brick wall. We hung a wooden picture rail (permanent installation painted the same color as the bricks) and hung my pictures from that "gallery style" using clear fish line. Many galleries hang images this way. You can vary the height of the picture by the length of the line.

@Sonoma, Use a masonry drill bit, start with it turning backwards to give you a starting spot, then turn to forward to make a hole in a brick for your screw and expander - use the blue one for masonry and concrete.

Our son is stationed in Germany. The house he and his wife live in have brick walls as do many in their area. Yup, a masonry bit is the answer. Easy to find, easy to use if you have a drill. Then you can put in small screws and hang pretty much anything.
