My Holiday Home Tour

The Chirping Frog
by The Chirping Frog
I have had lots of fun getting my decorations out and up. So many more things I'd love to do but I quit, time to just enjoy the holidays. Hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
These are the light orbs my husband made for a party this fall, now they are on a timer and I grin every time I come down the winding road that leads towards our house.
First little tree when you come in the front door. I found some ornament sets buy 1 get 2 Free at Michaels, added some garland I made from straws and an old necklace with some ribbon bows that I love to use for ornaments.
The floral arrangement I made in an ice bucket using glittery white floral picks and candy canes.
This tiered basket usually sits in the dining room. I love items that I can play switch-a-roo with. During the Fall season this basket held gourds in the dining room, now its in the living room with ornaments. So easy!
I added ribbon stringers with bows to the chandelier, you'll see them repeated on the mantle.
This is a wreath I made for Fall. I love keeping things up and simply making minor changes to them. I simply took down the "boo" sign I'd made for the center and added a big red bow.
The mantle is simply ribbon. I found the star ornaments at The Dollar Tree and bought a ton. They were inexpensive ornaments that are really cute and usable in so many ways. You'll find them used throughout my décor this year.
The dining room, you can see one of our light orbs glowing through the window.
This is a Christmas Book Tree I saw on the internet and fell in love with. I used vintage spools for candleholders and finished off the table in less than five minutes. Really, really easy!
For the kitchen table I simple took a glass serving bowl, lined it with candy canes and put my mini-tree in it. I used cream/white necklaces from my junk jewelry collection as filler.
Upstairs also has a tree, or two. In the middle of my work table I used cookie tins to make a tree.
My grandmother made all the crochet ornaments in the 80's. They were passed on to me this year so I used them on a tree upstairs in my work area. Lots of fond memories.
