I love crafting but my style, over the years have changed to a more contemporary look. In addition to changing furniture styles, does anyone have ideas on crafting for a little more contemporary look?

If you are on here much you've seen what paint does for out of date furniture. I am constantly amazed at the smart talented everyday people and what they do. Touch The Wood is hands down my favourite. Pinterest is a great site to "shop" for ideas. If you want specific advice about something, post a picture, that's all we need to give advice, right people? You are going to have fun, good luck.

@ @Lori, Love your hair rollers! LOL! But I am new to this site and I get emails everyday. And, I do know what paint can do...miracles! I love DIY projects and crafting, but as yet, I do not see a lot of contemporary crafting. Thanks for the website info, Touch The Wood and will check it out. I have traditional end tables and a coffee table which are Cherry. I sanded and painted them satin black and bought silver drawer pulls which turned out great.

Thanks for the answers, but I'm still hoping for more ideas. For a while now, I've got brain fog. Usually, if I see something of interest, ideas start popping out so fast I have to write them down. Anyway, I look forward to my daily emails and helpful hints.

@Karen Criner I think as @Lori said a pic of the furniture would go a long way to getting more replies. The pic stimulates people's creativity and believe there is a lot of that on this site. It is difficult to make suggestion for an unseen piece.
