Flannel Pumpkin

Have you noticed? Flannel is everywhere this fall. Flannel, leather, sweaters and burlap. In getting in with the season, I thought what better way to combine the fruits of the season with the fabrics of the season than to make a flannel pumpkin!

I picke-up this free shirt that JC Penney was giving away one day.

I am not a crafter and can't get it done this year, but someone should make a pumpkin in light pink and then then put the Breast Cancer darker pink ribbon on it! October is, after all, Breast Cancer Awareness Month! The Pink pumpkin can be displayed during the season and then set in a place of honor for the rest of the year! It is not a seasonal thought! I plan to make one next year. Eyesight problems will not allow for close work crafting this year. OK folks...the challenge is out there -- let's see who can meet it!

Gena, I would love to see a photo if you make some pumpkins from those old shirts.
