Antique Dresser Into Sunroom Bar Redesign
by

My husband and I went to a thrift store a few weeks ago and sitting right outside was an old dresser. It was dusty, had cobwebs, the top drawer stuck, and it had a funky smell, but it was free. Yep, free!
Once I got home, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. Since my husband and son have their own spaces in our home, why couldn’t I have my own? I was going to convert part of the sunroom into my own personal ladies’ lounge. This was going to be my new bar! Here are the steps I took to get from beginning to end.

The drawers were removed and the inside was gutted out. The only thing that we kept in was a support beam for the bottom of the middle drawer.
I found an old wooden wine rack for $5 at a thrift store and painted it to match the color I used on the bar.
The bar was painted blue and gray. I kept the front of the top drawer because I liked the design and I changed the handles and added hinges to it, so it could fold down instead of sliding out.
