Does the countertop around my shower and tub need to match countertop?

not at all be brave and go wild with a a mix of colours that contrast then add towels to match the tops So many folk are so fussy think of a rainbow add colour to your life you will enjoy it if you try

Keep yourself happy, but remember if you ever decide to sell...be ready for some feed back. I say, if you are enjoying the look and it feels good to you, use it.

@Trish I am with those above. If the counter tops don't touch you go with what you want. What you want to do, however, is be sure they coordinate, i.e. in colour tones. Many a bathroom have a granite counter by the sink and tile around the tub. Just coordinate the other accessories with in the bathroom as well.
