I've used a couple different brands at the apts i worked at. Within a couple month the paint starts peeling. No matter how much we sanded before using it. I wouldn't waste my time or money.

We had a professional do our tub & just like Cindy Lou said, within a couple months it began peeling. Maybe go with the auto body painter?

Forgot to mention, we had a 'slipcover' installed over the tub. Can't remember if it was fiberglass or plastic, but it was durable. Also don't recall the price (a decade ago).

a pro did our tub and it is fantastic. I tried before that and it started peeling near the drain and turned black and rusty; don't waste your time.

we also found out the cheaper acrylic tubs are not durable so you may as well figure somethings just can't be done cheaply, without regrets; go with a professional I think they give guarantees

My daughter had her tub done professionally and it has lasted 2-3 years so far. My mother-in-law had her kitchen sink done professionally and it also lasted. I would like to have our upstairs bath done.

Our bath was painted by the previous owners. It was sonny used by guests to shower but when we rented out our house and the tenants bathed their children each it peeled off within a couple of months. We had to replace the bath in the end.
