First Attempt With Chalk Paint

Maggie McArdle
by Maggie McArdle
This is my first attempt at refinishing anything with chalk paint. I actually used Americana Decor from Home depot because I wanted to go less expensive if I totally messed it up. But here it it.
Here is the finished product - birds eye maple dresser...
This is what it started out as.

Thanks for posting this as you just gave me the confidence to order some chalk paint. I chose Duck Egg Blue. Now I cannot wait for it to arrive! Thanks again!

@Maggie McArdle Before ordering my paint - which by the way is the ASCP, I did an online search on makeovers in duck egg blue and the colour varies enormously depending whether it has been mixed with another shade of blue, or white and what it has been used to paint over. Also any wax applied after such as clear wax and then dark. The colour does seem to lend itself to a lot of vintage pieces. I had to order online as I could not find a supplier close enough to go to their shop in person. I am excited for it to arrive but a little worried now that I ordered the larger size! How much duck egg blue is too much!! LOL! I see much painting in the near future. I may use it for the two bed ends (queen size) that I want to make into a bench. Could be ideal for that. If I finally get around to making the bench, I will be sure to post on Hometalk.
