Christmas Luminarias

Thrifty and Chic
by Thrifty and Chic
I grew up in a town that put up luminarias instead of Christmas lights. I have always loved them and how they looked. I decided that this year it would be fun to incorporate that old tradition and start a new one with our family.
Luminarias are essentially lunch bags with lights in them. They can be decorated how ever you want or kept pretty and plain :)
For mine, I used white lunch bags, glitter ornaments, sand and tea light candles.
They are simple to assemble, just place the sand in the bag and light the candle.
These give off the most beautiful glow! I can't wait to put them out on Christmas Eve :)

Wonderful idea... AND, Who cares what the neighbors think !! If it makes you happy, that is what counts ... (they are probably just jealous you have the best looking yard)
