MaryStLouis on Dec 22, 2014I agree with Carole, but there are many uses for a drawer-less dresser, this one being the best or at least most inventive. :) http://www.hometalk.com/diy/empress-of-creativity-my-diy-aviary-and-its-new-residents-6232271Helpful Reply

Jennie Duncan on Dec 22, 2014@renee - Are you planning on refinishing the dresser before you proceed with your next "repurpose" step? I think that would be a smart idea to do that and then proceed with the next step. Like the person "Carole" in Australia mentioned, you can put shelves inside and turn it into a makeshift bookcase. There are quite a few options you have with this dresser, but it all depends on what you want to use it for in the long run. Can you, by any chance, post a photo of this dresser you're talking about?@Helpful Reply

Gail Salminen on Dec 24, 2014@renee the shelves and baskets are easy fixes and can look spectacular. You could also craft a fake drawer that is on hinges to pull down and still use the shelf and baskets if you like. If you post a pic of the dresser you may get some amazing comments pertinent to that particular piece.Helpful Reply

Shirley Kalinosky on Apr 25, 2015Wish I had known about this 2 yrs ago when we were cleaning out the house my DIL trashed and she took the drawers and left the two dressers. We junked them. I know, I know, but at the time I hadn't been on here. Now I know what to do with most things because of the wonderful people on here. Thank you all for your DIY info!!Helpful Reply

RustyBucketFarmGirl on Aug 05, 2015So I used the bottom of mine for things like books. One shelf for baskets and then still working on making the X style shelves for wine bottles in the last opening. Essentially what is a dresser? A bookshelf with drawers instead of shelves. Possibilities are endless!Helpful Reply

Lizz Combs on Aug 14, 2015I found a dresser that was missing its four drawers so I took it home painted the dresser, then purchased two boxes that I cut in half to make the four drawers I needed. I then lined the inside with a pretty fabric, I wrapped and hot glued rope around them to give them the look of a basket. I used the same rope as the drawer pulls.Helpful Reply
