Like Clip

Faux tile-painted floor

We had an ugly floor in our basement bedroom that we wanted to change, but didn't have the budget for carpet. I like getting creative with paint so I used floor paint and polyurethane to transform the floor. It took a little time and effort but we were pleased with the results.     The floor already had a slight texture. The painted finish enhanced it.

    We did this on our sun porch in Charleston and it turned out great! A friend took it one step further, using torn brown craft paper and polying over it. It looked like leather when she was done. My mind started working immediately with thoughts of wrapping paper or other types of "art" on the floor...
