DIY Chalkboard Cabinet

Mary
by Mary
Repurposed a cabinet door into a chalkboard with french typography. Turn an old cabinet door into a gorgeous chalkboard with some wood stain, paint and chalkboard paint. Add a vintage french graphic to make it truly stand out and unique.
Another cabinet door transformation! I stained the frame and gave it that aged barn wood effect. I used minwax stain and simple acrylic paints in black and grey and played around until I had the look i wanted. I then sanded it so all the tones can blend and look less fake.
I used rustoleum chalk paint to paint on the chalkboard. I used the wax paper transfer method in order to transfer the graphics found on the graphics fairy site on to the frame.
Visit my blog for the full tutorial and I'm sure you'll be looking out for cabinet doors that you too can transform into a vintage chalkboard.
Here is another chalkboard I created again on a cabinet door that I saved from the trash. You can find this post on my blog as well so please make sure to stop by for some inspiration!

Ohhh, lucky you! Yeah, there is so many ways to use them. Chalkboards are only one of many ways. Thank you!

What did ya do with the other side of the door? I have two done, w/ o the transfers, and not sure what to with the back

I left the back as is. Since it's meant to hang, I didn't see the point of painting the back.
