I have high ceilings in a century home, and I painted the ceiling and down the walls about 3 ft, a med tone aqua blue, then a wide trim board painted a creamy white as well as the rest of the walls right down to the floor. A chandelier in a creamy white as well. It is the most serene and relaxing room, I did this about 5 years ago, and still love it every time I walk into the room :)

I have a few favorite color combos for home decor. For bedrooms, I like colors that create a rich, soothing atmosphere. Light grey is beautiful in bedrooms. (I have it in mine.) It goes well with many colors but some of my favs are lt. grey & pale yellow. Some people like adding a touch of black accents with the grey & yellow as well. Another combo I like is lt. grey & lt. teal. If you don't mind having darker colors in your bedroom, then you may want to try real & red or teal & black. Get some paint chip samples that u like and tape them on your walls for a couple days to see how u like living with them. Good luck & have fun with it!
