Susan S Thank you for asking. Mom feels better since she has stop chemo. She had 2 reaction to it the last one she had an heart attack while receiving chemo. The doctor said no more that there was nothing else they can do. Mom has moved in with us now. We do have some beautiful country side and the colors are just great right now.

Ladena S - Oh I am so very sorry to hear that your Mom had a heart attack! Is she able to get out any at all and enjoy the beautiful fall sights? Just know your family and your Mother continue to be in all of our prayers!

Brenda E - Your picture is gorgeous too! I don't know why but I'm just facinated by huge boulders and rock formations. Maybe I should have been a Geologist!! ;~)

Ladena S - Well for sure, Prayers are the one thing NONE of us can OD on!! I know the side effects of chemo almost seem worse that the disease it's given for. I wish our researchers could find an antidote to the sickness and hair loss. That just adds insult to injury but until then . . . .

Ladena, the picture of the rocks, trees and water could be identical to the falls outside of Ithaca, NY, where I was born. Thank you for bringing back wonderful memories to me.

Brenda E the picture is on the North Fork river in southern Missouri. A place called Dawlt Mill. Thank you to the rest.Susan S I real like the bluffs too.And I wish they could find a cure also. But mom was terminal before she started this time. I wish the doctors would give that shimmer of hope when there is none.It would make it easier not to have the side affects of chemo

I do so understand what you mean. When my Mom was diagnosed it had already spread to her brain. All the drs. could do was give her radiation treatments so she wouldn't have any pain. It had started in her lung and when they did a needle biopsy it caused her lung to collapse and unfortunately it never fully reinflated. The good news is that she did not have any pain but she did loose her hair. I'm grateful for the little bit of time we had left with her but it's so hard to watch your Mom ...»
literally shrink before your eyes as each day goes by. I need to get off of this subject, I Know I'm not helping you at all and I apologize!!

fall is my favorite and these pics are great. I'm down in southwest mo, near joplin. Our colors are finally starting to turn after such a hot, dry summer. It seems to me that they are a bit muted, but at least we finally got color!

Rachal - You're right about the fall colors being muted. When there has been a drought or prolonged dry periods then obviously the trees can't take in the normal amounts of moisture so that definitely has an adverse effect on how vibrant the fall foliage is. The heat and dryness have been brutal this summer. In Va. our trees don't have great colors either. Everything seems to have gone from green straight to brown. I have a friend ...»
in Vt. and he has posted fabulous fall pics. Beautiful yellows & oranges!

Susan S you do help me through this makes me feel not so alone in what I am going through:). Rachal I really didn't think we would have colors either, but we did get the last of summer rains. Didn't help the gardens though yield about 1/3 this year.
