The Garden Frog with C Renee on Dec 31, 2014Before painting Maple flooring I would think about refinishing the floor. If you ever go to sell, having a hardwood/maple floor is going to be an attractive plus to a buyer. Floors get a lot of wear and tear and painting floors is not an easy fix- it takes time to prep and to paint the floors. If you want a temporary fix I would check the aisles of your home improvement store for Minwax (or other wood) products that can help you camouflage the scratches and dings. Painting will show everything. good luckHelpful Reply

Lucid Designs on Dec 31, 2014When dealing with wood damage, I use Watco Danish Oil. It comes in a range of transparent colors. Going a shade darker usually helps to hide issues better than using the same color.Helpful Reply
