Julie @ Southern Wild Design on Jan 01, 2015Having had both...it is entirely dependent upon the size and needs of the bathroom. Small powder room...definitely pedestal. Bathroom used for family, master, etc...definitely storage.Helpful Reply

Cath windmueller on Jan 01, 2015I have a pedestal sink in my half bath but still needed storage so I sewed a fitted contemporary skirt and attached it with Velcro. Storage is a must so the vanity would be my choice.Helpful Reply

Louise on Jan 01, 2015I would opt for a vanity. Even if this is just an extra bathroom you will still need to store extra toilet paper and cleaning supplies. You don't want to have to transport those from another bathroom every time you need them.Helpful Reply

Elaine Simmons on Jan 02, 2015There was no hesitation answering this for me. I would go for the vanity. My son has a pedestal and when you are trying to get ready there is no place to set anything!Helpful Reply

Ashley Mann on Jan 04, 2015I agree that it depends on what type of bathroom, but between those two particular sinks, I personally prefer the look of the vanity one.Helpful Reply

Marion Nesbitt on Jan 05, 2015Have both. Pedestals I use in traditional style bathrooms because of style and to create a more spacious look. In the main bath, I have an antique dresser and mirror for towels, etc and a medicine cabinet. Use a vanity in one that has no medicine cabinet..Helpful Reply
