What bench sander is good to use on pallet wood? Which do you use?

We construct many things out of pallets, and have been struggling to find a bench/table top sander that will hold up. We sand A LOT. We have burned up every sander we have purchased.

have you tried planing the wood first? It might cut down on the sanding

Sanders burn down if you use them non stop. They get hot and if you stop in between to let them cool a bit then most probably they might not burn up. Try this, and good luck.

I agree with Teresa, we put all our pallets through a planer thicknesser. Works a treat. Just remember to do the sides as well as front and back.
