DIY Media Unit

We wanted a statement piece for our media room yet everything we loved was over $1000, so we decided to make our own for less than $650 for a solid wood unit. If you use MDF, I'm sure it would be way cheaper and less work (less sanding). The doors was the most challenging part (but our motto...trim covers mistakes!!) We still have to add facing trim to the shelves and a shelf above the TV area (we are waiting until we purchase the TV...so my husband can get the biggest tv possible...men!) We have blogged about the entire process.
The Media Unit. 11ft long. 7ft tall.
I threw some items onto the shelves because I was so excited to style it.
The beginning process.
The hardware on the smaller doors.
The hardware on the larger doors.
