Glamorized Vanity

My son works at a store that sells some small furniture pieces - mostly accent pieces. Sometimes these pieces meet with real disaster during transit and sold at a much lower price. This vanity was one of those.
The front center panel had received a very large hole in it. He brought it home for me to work on but first he had to replace the panel. Then I set to work on it to "glamorize" it.
Our granddaughter called "dibs" on it and I painted it according to her wishes. The entire base was painted with black interior latex paint as that is what she requested. I also painted the wooden handles on the drawers black. Then I painted the top, the drawer fronts and the center panel with white latex paint.
The legs were taped off and the lower portion was sprayed with Rustoleum's metallic gold spray paint to give them that dipped look.
The interior of the vanity was spray painted with the same gold.
The top was stenciled with a flower stencil and gold paint. For more details please go to the blog URL listed below.
I love the finished piece - her vision for it was spot on.
