My Little Window House

I've been seeing a lot of these little "greenhouses" made from windows and doors and I decided I wanted one, too. Very very easy to make. You need 6 windows, 4 of them have to be alike for the bottom of the greenhouse. And two have to be alike for the little "roof" of the greenhouse. It's lots of fun and looks pretty cute, I must say. :)

Very cute! And nicely done. I like the idea of changing it up for the seasons. I've got some windows up in the attic that I've wanted to use for something like this but they are oversized. I'll have to get one of my sons to bring them down and we shall see what we can do with them!

This project looks like a lot of fun and easy to do. Several months ago, someone had a stack of old windows on the side of the road that said "take me, free" and I didn't pick them up. I have regretted not getting those "free" windows ever since!

If I'm not mistaken, once when ai looked up info on terrariums, up came a photo of an old fashioned one called a "ward" I think and it was the saem idea only leaded. it was a leaded glass house. I'll try to find the photo and post it.

ok so I was right - in Victorian times they called terrariums - Wards or Wardian Cases and also called them Vivariums - pictures below and here's the link - http://www.stormthecastle.com/terrarium/terr...
