Kitchen Sink Shelf

I've always loved the idea of open shelves in my kitchen. But have way too many sippy cups for that! So I decided to use these wood corbels that I picked up for just $4 to add a shelf above my kitchen sink window. It gives me a place to display kitchen stuff, while still keeping all my closed door cabinetry. I also used Miss Mustard Seeds milk paint for the project. Still unsure of what I think of this paint.

If you are looking for wood corbels Home Depot sells ones for only $10 and they have a great profile.

Love this! Color is perfect! Thank you so much for the idea! You just saved me a lot time making my own old timer sink shelf. I was worried about loosing counter space and water ruining the base. This will solve all my issues.

Love using the space above the window. Very nice. Now I just need a window. :)
