Where can I buy a mulcher?

Dottie on Jan 07, 2015Amazon is where I got mine. It's a barrel style that you can spin to mix. It's "critter" proof and not an eyesore. Just FYI it takes a long time to get a good amount. I put kitchen and garden scraps/trimmings in mine.Helpful Reply

Susan Hanline on Jan 07, 2015you can make a simple compost bin out of wood, fencing materials or whatever, if you don't want to buy one. Put your grass clippings, leaves, yard debris, peels, coffee grounds, egg shells and other biodegradable things in it with some dirt. Turn it over weekly, water it when real dry and it will turn into a nutrient rich garden material you can put in with plants, trees. bare grass spots etc. Enriches the soil better than any chemical fertilizer. We had lots of earth worms living in ours which is also beneficial, earth worm castings (poop) are great for the soil also.Helpful Reply

Carol on Jan 07, 2015Most gardening magazines sell them. Many Farm and Garden stores such as Fleet Farm and many Hardware stores. Amazon is a good place too, but they may have heavy shipping fees.Helpful Reply
