Cute Old Furniture Transformed Into Romantic Shabby Chic Nightstand

by Jarful House
I got this nightstand on craigslist , and before I even got it, I had idea what I'm going to do with it..An artist would say I had a "vision" :) .I stopped in local craft store Michaels and bought mod podge for furniture, some brushes to apply it and scrapping paper. Than I bought AS Chalk Paint - Country Grey
Top part was heavy scratched so I decided to sanded, than simple steps, with wood filler i fixed all damaged parts, than painted all in Country Grey ( Annie Slaon chalk paint).
BEFORE
For the top part I used french script stencil from my previous projects. I used mix of AS graphite + old white.
AFTER
I had to changed hardware in each drawer because one was broken and I couldn't match it. On Etsy I found these 3 vintage pulls for $ 10. I use rub n buff for old silver color effect. They were also little bigger than original, so with help of my cute husband I fix holes.
On the bottom of each drawer I have attached scrapping paper. I used mod podge ( like for decoupage) . As a first timer with mod podge I think i did well.
This nightstand you can find on Etsy ( link below) or on my facebook page Love Live & Create :) Make sure you check it out for more pictures and info,

Beautiful... I love the fact that many people are getting away from that brown decor. Dont get me wrong I also still have some lovely brown furniture pieces. But, I love the way color furniture brightens and coordinates with a room. So elioquent.
