Dresser Turned Entertainment Center

I took an old discarded dresser that someone gave me and transformed it into a beautiful entertainment center. Love the clean lines. So my style. But this beauty is heading to the consignment store.
Finished. I am LOVING it.
BEFORE.....doesn't the basket of wheat just scream country???? Not the look I wanted.
Primed....have to remove drawer guides yet.
Removed the drawer guides and Painted with coat of Annie Sloan Old White
Cut the shelves for the top row
Glue in the shelves.
One shelve was a bit warped...Nothing some 1960's Encyclopedias cant help. I used wood filler to make the shelves look like one.
I used the very specialized technique of gluing some strips of wood underneath the top shelf to hold the two shelves in place and used the old drawer guides to hold them in place until the glue set.
Looks like one full shelf instead of 4!!!
Another view
I used a drill and some jagged thingamabob to make a hole in the back for cords.
I believe they use these for cutting holes for door knobs.
There is the fresh cut hole.
I put the little piece back in til the hole is used. Less obvious.
Very technical work here. ;)

My daughter did this too! Only she painted the top black. Looks great. She hung her TV on the wall above it. She painted the handles black too.

Is the consignment store anywhere near Rome, GA? Love this rehab. Someone is going to get a really smart piece of furniture. What is its final color? Can't tell from the photos.

Sorry Jackie, no....it is in Bismarck, ND. The color is an antique white...Not cream, not white, just a perfect blend.
