DIY Hanging Address Plaque

What you will need: (1) a piece of wood that you want to use for the plaque. Get creative - you can buy something pre-cut like I did, or find an old piece of barnwood or driftwood that you love, and go from there. (2) drill (3) wood stain-polyurethane (clear sealer) (4) pencil & paper (5) white chalk (6) white paint (this can be leftover paint from a can, or an Acrylic paint - whatever you have handy) (7) black sharpie
How to:This tutorial will show you how to take a font you love from your computer and actually imprint it onto a one-of-a-kind plaque for your home. You don't even need a printer! Just reverse the letters on your computer screen, trace them out onto paper using a pencil.Simply rub a piece of chalk over the pencil lines, and place that side down on the plaque. The lead in the pencil will reject the chalk so when you flip this over and apply it to the wood, there will be a slight outline of the numbers for you to follow. Once you are done you can easily wipe away the chalk, and fill in the outline with your paint of choice! If you are creative and use materials you already have laying around the house, this project is FREE!To read the full instructions please visit the full blog post!
