I love the moon vine. How would that do in zone 9? Is it considered a perennial or annual?

I planted the Moon vine on our fence to hide the ugly cyclone! grows like a weed and is covered with beautiful white and purple blooms. Another beautiful vine that grows weel in zone 9 is the Flame vine with gorgeous Orange flowers. Use to see them all over Orlando FL a few years ago.
