Make Extra Money Selling Things in Your Home

Our home is our haven and for many of us not quite what we want it to be. If only we had a little more money to buy the things we really love, right? No matter what time of year it is, most of us have some things, from valuable treasures to stuff we want to get rid off, and making some extra money doing it would be great, right??
There are many websites to sell on but I found most success selling on Ebay. I have been selling for over 14 years both part time and now full time. It has been a great way to supplement income for my family, make sure I could support my daughter when I was a single mom, and now work from home while growing my blog too. I have also sold on Etsy which is a great website for handmade, vintage or craft items. In trying it I found that my things sold at a much slower rate there and Ebay brought a lot more traffic for me. If you make things or have craft items this is a great place to sell from and the fees are much lower. I just have had the most success on Ebay.
The new year and January has always proven to be one of the biggest selling seasons of the year. People have returned their Christmas presents, gotten some extra $$ for gifts, cleaned and organized their stuff at home and usually get online to find new clothing or home décor items. You may have that great pile at home of valuables yet you hate to sell them for a dollar at a yard sale. This is another option.
