New York's Central Park

These are a few of the Central Park pictures I took this past Saturday, a couple of days before Hurricane Sandy hit. I have to say one of the highlights of my trip was meeting Hometalk's own Miriam I. What a delightful young woman! She is just so sweet and personable. Hometalk is lucky to have this lady!!

Beautifull!! Probably has some damage from Sandy. My thoughts and Prayers are with you all at this time. We here in Charleston SC know and appreciate how you all are feeling, as we went through Hurricane Hugo in "89. We understand:-) The mere threat of a hurricane and we get paranoid. My youngest son and his family live in the east corner of Ohio and their town is feeling the effects of Sandy with 60 mile winds, everything cancelled. They were in Fla. until today. Their flight was running ...»
and on time. They have to fly into Pittsburg where they flew out, but they have to look forward to damages.

M Gail, I took these pictures during my vacation to the Big Apple last week to visit my son. I am sure it doesn't look as beautiful as it did when I was there. I live in Oklahoma (tornado alley). So, unfortunately I do know how anxious bad weather approching can put one on edge.

Wow, Tina B so lucky to have traveled to NY and take the pictures before the storm! Very striking pictures, wish we had something like those colors down our way. Wonderful that you were able to visit with Miriam!!
