Tampa DIY Kitchen Backsplash

Jonathan decided that he wanted to give his kitchen a "splash" of personality with a new custom backsplash, and he learned that sometimes a little DIY project can go a long way towards updating the look of a kitchen! This project was featured on http://renovation1500.com

Inspiration can truly come from anywhere! Jonathan says that he found his inspiration from a similar kitchen backsplash he saw while watching the TV show The Big Bang Theory.

Jonathan knew that he wanted a backsplash that would match his existing countertop and paint theme. He chose to go with a monochromatic theme that complements the white cabinets and appliances.

The new backsplash! Jon chose Storka Urban Hues 3" x 6" subway tile in color Fog and Storka Landscape 9/16" x random linear mosaic tile in color Ash. The backsplash really transforms the kitchen into a custom space.

He brought the subway tile all along the wall in the kitchen. Although the tile looks black in this photo, it is actually more of a grey color.

Jonathan says that he loves the way that the colors accent each other. We agree! We love the way the backsplash perfectly matches the existing appliances and color scheme.

A backsplash is a simple way to customize and upgrade a space in a big way!
