Easy
A fun way to reuse & recycle cards instead of tossing them in the trash. Repurposing at it's cutest! It was a nice surprise when I opened up my Christmas container this past season and saw my tags that I had made last year! Each tag I made was unique and colorful. I had so many from last time that I still have left overs to use next year :)
A few of my Christmas cards from 2014
Instead of tossing the beautiful cards that we get at Christmastime... I repurpose/reuse/recycle them into gift tags. I check each inside left page first to make sure it is blank with no writing on it.
My craft/tag punch and hole punch
Most craft supply stores carry both of the above. I used my 40% off coupon when I purchased the large tag punch.
Goodbye Christmas cards - Hello gift tags
I was able to get more than one tag out of most of my cards. I just turn the cards in different directions to create fun and interesting tags.
Top holes punched out & adding my tag ties
Once the tags are punched out, I use the round hole punch up top and then add my ties. That's it! It's easy and fun to see what can be created from a card. I'm looking forward to opening my Christmas container next Christmas season!

Package tags are great! I have trimmed cards and glued them to the top of wrapped packages vs. using ribbons and bows. Sometimes a card will fit a package top perfectly. Using a card on a package and then boxing packages for out of town shipping works so great....no crushed bows! This can be done for other kinds of cards like birthday, anniversary, Valentine's Day, etc. What you can't use, put into a donation box for a senior citizens home, art department in a school, charitable organization.

Love this idea! I will try this with my photos printed on card stock.
