Turn An Outdated Headboard Into A Coat Rack/Command Center
I know you've seen headboards like this for next to nothing! I've even picked them up off the side of the road before! Yes, they're out of style and most are deteriorating but you CAN give it new, purposeful life!
With a few simple tools, I removed the legs and the brittle wicker.
I created a chalkboard panel for the center.
I wanted the bed to look like patinated metal so I gave it a faux patina using Modern Masters Metal Effects...I have several tutorials on the blog!
Chicken wire was the perfect solution for photos and notes.
