This project hit 3 area's of interest
1-the resurgence of gold tones
2- the Edison style bulbs
3-mixing industrial with home elements
but I had to come up with a way to show off the Edison bulb!

Love the focal point it creates and the amber light in the room at night is so ambient!

yes @seesallysale, it would have been easier if the hobby store had the right size and shape! Which is why I did a thrift store lamp shade 'take-down'-to get the size and shape I wanted. Lol

LOL! Donna, I loved this so much I went to goodwill yesterday and found the perfect lamp! Then went to craft store to find the perfect shade ( because I wanted to do it NOW) come to find out they don't carry wire shades anymore! I used to make lamp shades with fabric (years ago it was the thing to do) so assumed people still did that and they would have nice selection....well Now I know it is not the "thing to do" and I too will have to go hunt for the "right size and shape" to tear down! So goes the thrill of the hunt! Have to see how long my perfect lamp stays naked!
