Removing pilling from sweaters

I just bought 3 new sweaters and after wearing them once, they have litle balls or pilling all over them. Is there a way to remove these little balls without ruining the sweaters

My ex used my beard trimmer for this...and I remember my mom using a pair is scissors...the scissors took some time and skill to be effective.

There is a little battery operated gadget, sometimes called a "sweater shaver" or "fabric shaver," which works much like the beard trimmer KMS Woodworks mentioned. Do an internet search and you will find various models sold everywhere. Locally, you can probably find them at any of the drug stores (Walgreens, CVS etc.). Target and Walmart. will likely have them too. I've had mine so many years I can't even remember where I got it. (Edited to add: I bet Joann Fabrics has them also.) Personally, it would be just my luck I'd ruin my sweater(s) if I tried to use scissors or a razor. On another note...I'm from St. Pete! Lived there my whole life until 3 years ago when we moved to a little country town about 20 minutes east of Tampa. I sure do miss it (and the wonderful 4th Street Publix)!

I have an electric sweater shave but have also used the razor method. Just be very careful that you don't cut the sweater.
