I painted an old buffet to match our kitchen cabinets.

I sanded and painted two coats of Kilz and then three coats of semi-gloss paint. How can I seal the top to create an extremely durable surface to avoid chips when using it as countertop ...»

    Donna, No, the top hutch part with the shelves was not attached. It was just sitting on the ...»
    bottom part which was fortunate for me. I think there used to be some brackets that held the two pieces together in the back but they were missing.

    Patsy, thanks for the compliment! The buffet turned out loads better than I had hoped. We're very pleased so we're getting an estimate for the same granite for the rest of cabinets that we just painted.
