Building a media console that resembles a printer's cabinet (Restoration Hardware Knock-off!)

I have a blog that showcases my furniture repurposing and wood restoration. My husband and I are such avid DIY'er's, that we do almost everything around the house. Every room has been redone by us. I really like working with my hands and love working with wood. I saw another blogger tackle this console and wanted to give it a try. Ana White has a wonderful blog about her skills with building. She actually looked at the inspiration piece and drew up these plans! We tweaked them a bit to suit out needs. You can go to my blog to see a step by step process!
3 drawers (middle one pulls down) and 3 doors to look like a printers cabinet
This is the frame put together. We used rustic alder. Top and sides and bottom were from alder ply and the rest were boards ripped to 1X2's, 1X3's and 2X2's.
I used a weathered gray stain mixed with ebony. The inside of the pull down was painted with a custom color mix of milk paint.
The drawers were made from the ply and the bottom is luan. The 1X2 and 1X3's are attached to the front from inside
This was the inspiration. Restoration Hardware...at $1600!
