Vintage Dresser Turned Into Bar Height Table

Bought this vintage dresser for $20, needed a lot of TLC. The top had veneer coming off and scratches. Measured the height and it was the exact height as my old bar height table. Perfect, so I went to work on it.
I did some a light sanding, just enough to get top layer roughed up for painting. Painted with a dark brown, then lightly dry brushed a layer of green over the dark brown.
Finished painting the whole dresser. Added the white knobs for use until I ordered my glass knobs I wanted.
Then thought about the top. I added half inch plywood with an over hang in back so the bar stools would go under. Added chunky wooden decorative shelf brackets for support under the over hang for support. Added bull nose wood trim around edges of plywood. I sanded the top to get out the roughness. Painted it dark brown. Stenciled the top.
Then watered down the paint and went over the top to tone done the bright white of the stencils. Then applied a water base varnish (michaels) sells. No fumes, plus it cleans up with water.
Added thin wooden appliques to the front, lightly dry brushed to blend in. Then added the glass knobs.
Purchased two wooden bar stools at thrift store for $30 and repainted them to match.

I'm still looking for a table. I see that you painted a dresser and now use it as a table, but no one sits at a table without the ability to fit legs under it. Cute painting job, though.
