The beginning. Awful IKEA futon. Go-green rug and three antique pieces from a local store we love to visit.

Craigslist black leather sofa and new Urban Outfitters (going to get dirty) white rug. Also, new lamp and artwork.
Fresh flowers from my hubby.
Ugly pillow covered with a scarf and new living room TV for football games and movies!
Final look before we moved....Navy blue Chevron wall! National Park poster and more pillows.

Thoroughly enjoyed this. You created such a happy comfortable place. I have my grandmother's 1960s stereo, much like your husband's but longer. I have sweet memories of dancing with her and my grandfather to records she played on it, and it still works. I've been thinking of using it just as you used yours, for a TV table. Thanks for sharing here.
