Wonderful find! Very old chippy fireplace front..so excited!

We are in process of redoing a 1970's cozy brick home with great bones :) Have painted , new floor, etc This is in the "dining room" , I use that term loosely lol. Anyway, everything on this mantle, which I found for $15 whoo hoo has a history and the plates on the wall are some of mine over 20years old, the other plates were my mothers and grandmothers, the hand knitted jacket on the wall was mine as an infant , old aprons of my gmothers , my blanket when baptized , old family Bible, etc. This is not the permanent home, I would like to use this as the headboard in our guest bedroom but will keep it here for a bit .

Hi Cheryl and Joyce! Thanks so much, I haven't been on the site in a while or updated pics, I've changed up things quite a bit and it still has a lot of my milk glass and some personal items that are dear to me but have added/taken away change plates, items around it, replaced, etc It is still one of my favorite finds EVER! My pics aren't that great but I love it and wanted others to enjoy it as well!. The fabric was an afterthought, I tore strips of floral fabric I had stashed away ( Love Pink!) and a just knotted them on a piece of burlap and tacked it up . 20 min project start to finish..I saw garlands everywhere and thought...I'm not paying that much for something I can make!! LOL The comments made my day! I actually was going to use it as a headboard for the extra bedroom but I want it out where I can see it...it makes me happy :)

Oh my gosh guys! We are in another phase of remodeling and need suggestions I will post pics today We have changed floors to a reddish mahogany and getting new windows etc I need help with some interior paint color recommendations I like Behr paint and can color match. I lean towards lighter colors but don't mind bold for or small bath which has vintage white tiles. I adore washed out aquas blues greys greens. any paint suggestions that are tried and true are welcomed so I can try samples. looking for suggestions for entire house Starting with living and dining room. Thanks so much haven't been on here in a while , some life altering events so please keep my family in your prayers Hugs
