Sharon B on Nov 11, 2012See how nice everyone is, just love this site and all the help.....on my Donna Dewberry site she cleans first with alcohol and then uses the acrylics and a clear over the top spray.....check her site for questions, she is great........I took a one stroke painting classe of hers and loved it, made my own birdbath and stepping stone, so go there too and she is great for any ideas

Caren Lanzo on Feb 21, 2013They make paint for anything now. I have painted metal before. Just ask at your hardware store. I painted a metal scoll stand with acrylic craft paint and it was constantly chipping off. painted a french birdcage with a spray for metal to sit on top of the stand and it did NOT chip off.
