Anyone used pre-cut crown molding? Were you happy with results?

I'm not a carpenter, and can't afford one, but would love to have crown molding in some rooms. Does anyone have experience with using pre-cut crown molding? Where did you purchase it? thanks

You would still need a friend to help you. Maybe Lowes or Home Depot Good Luck

I have seen them use the foam type on tv many times, if that is what you are referring to. You cannot tell it is not wood, and it can be painted. It seems to be easy enough to install.

We used it in a cottage at our lake above our gas fireplace, it looks great no miters used corner mouldings

How can it be pre-cut? Your rooms are not going to be all 8' or 12'. And most corners are not perfect 90 degree...

I had some put up in two bedrooms about 3 years ago. It looked awful after it was finished and we took it down after a year and got the real thing to fit the walls, which in an old house are never perfect. We prepainted it before installing it and now I love the look. I should have gone with that in the first place.
