Outdoor lighting

I have a pretty good size backyard where I've slowly been adding low voltage lighting. One of the corners would be an ideal location for a post light but they're quite pricey; so I'd like to make one myself. I'd like it to have 2-3 lights, but can't quite figure out how to put it all together. Help...

You can use the solar lights (the ones that just stick in the ground), an old chandalier and some pvc pipe. You can get real creative depending on the chandalier.

I've used dollars before but I'm not fond of them. The battery life is short and even when the batteries are replaced, they're are never the same. I'm looking for electrical, low voltage and on a post about 5ft tall.

Solar lights definitely - the only cost would be the initial cost. You can use chicken wire to create any design and put the lights inside / outside etc. And, you can nail the chicken wire to a fence post or similar as long as it’s sturdy. There are too many solar lights that just stick onto the ground - try and creative! Good luck.

I have used the aluminum fence post (chain link fence post) and painted them black. concreted them in the ground and added a thrift store chandelier that I wired with low voltage lights and painted it black as well. drill a small hole in the bottom of the fence post for the wiring to run through. it came out looking like a vintage European post light pretty

How about a 4x4 pvc post and cover it with low voltage lights or rope/string lights.

Concrete base and then you can put as many as you want on there without worrying about the weight of the fixtures and an added plus is that you have a built in wire channel inside to fish your wiring through..!

You could paint it if you don't like the color.
