Mini (Faux) Pallet Art DIY

Make your own mini - and faux - pallet art with popsicle sticks! Huh?? Yes, you read that correctly! Pallet art is such a hot trend right now, and my favorite pieces are those that are truly handmade, versus the mass-produced knock-offs that are beginning to pop up in catalogs and home decor stores. I came across an awesome tutorial on Pinterest (link available on my blog), and it inspired me to make my own mini version of pallet art using popsicle sticks, or craft sticks as they're called in the big-box craft supply stores.

I found the quote on Pinterest, and knew I'd end up using it in some sort of home decor project!

I love this! What a great way for us to create our Santa's for friends and family without having to tear out someones deck!!! -Jacque Oh yeah one more question what did you use to trim the edges so cleanly?

Glad you like this - I'm working on a "Fall" sign which, due to Hurricane Sandy, may or may not get finished before Thanksgiving! LOL To trim the edges I used a very sharp pair of Fiskars scissors. As long as I cut slowly, the sticks did not splinter or crack.
