Christmas Decorating (like they do in magazines)

Yes, I'm early, but I'm my own boss, so I won't get fired :). I had these lanterns out on my porch for months, and was inspired by Pottery Barn to try this easy decorating trick with things I already have. This would work with a vase, or a bowl too. So pretty for the foyer. How I did it here: http://redheadcandecorate.com/4/post/2012/11/christmas-decorating-like-they-do-in-the-magazines.html

I love it, Julie! You're inspiring me to try some new decor this year. How do you keep your greenery fresh?

Good question Sharon...I don't! You would be surprised how long those needles stay green. However, I do know that you can mist it, but be careful to turn lights off first. Also- Don't put lights near dry needles. I don't keep this on long...just a couple hours, and off at bedtime. I was worried about the candy canes, but they did fine.
