Create Art With Tub and Tile Caulk? Huh?

You bet your bippy! That's exactly what I used to create this Easy and Inexpensive DIY Custom Canvas Art. I created a large 24x48 piece of custom framed art for under $35.
Here is how I did it!
I was able to find a large canvas at Hobby Lobby using a 40% off coupon, so I paid $18.
Then, by simply adding a series of lines and guides - I wrote out my quote with a pencil...
Once I was happy with the way it looked, I used the caulk to to write right over the pencil marks.
(There were a few more basic steps to get a smooth look, and you can get the complete details on my blog.) Once the caulk had completely dried, I added two coats of white paint. You could use any color.
Then, I painted 1x1 square molding strips cut to fit he canvas and attached them with small tacs. This created a "framed" effect.
I chose to go with a monochromatic look and feel, but you could definitely choose to highlight the letters with some paint, etc.
I will be adding this artwork to a large wall in a flip house I will be staging this week.
"Home is not a place - it's a feeling." I love this quote. Tub and Tile Caulk??? Who would have thought it right?
