Why not just go to a paint/wallpaper business for advice on the type. Most vinyls are very sturdy so what is to lose. Try one of your choice. Sometimes there are part rolls on deep discount.

Hi Audrey! You can use pretty much any wallpaper, as long as it is scrubbable and washable. Another suggestion would be to try the paintable wallpaper you can buy at Home Depot or Lowes. Its a thick, foamy texture that is self-adhesive and is super easy to work with. The paper comes in styles that range from square decorative tiles to simple beadboard look. Just make sure you paint with good paint that is also washable.
