Vintage Dictionary + Wire = Holiday Wreaths and More

I love decorating for Christmas and this year I wanted one room to have a "vintage Christmas look". And for me, nothing says vintage like paper wreaths. Instead of using needle and thread, I decided to use 18 gauge wire. The wire is strong but pliable and easily threads through the paper.
Here is the old dictionary and 18 gauge wire.
Ball-up the paper and thread the wire through the bottom 1/4 of the paper. Continue threading the wire until you have enough for your projects.
For the wreaths, I simply twisted the wires together to make a circle.
For the kissing ball, I pulled the wires together really tightly. The plaid ribbon adds a nice touch!
Here is the swag is draped over vintage windows and boxwood greenery.
I am happy with my "vintage" Christmas room. I hope you will try this in your home. Thanks!
