Decorating a log cabin for Christmas

I was hired to decorate a log cabin vacation home for Christmas. The catch? One, it was a surprise to the wife and three daughters. Two, I had three weeks to design, shop, arrange florals, make bows, and decorate five Christmas trees. Well, it is finished. My fingers are sore, feet are swollen, glitter will be stuck to me forever, but it was a blast! Here are some photos.
Here is the log cabin.
I had 17 wreaths hung on the windows.
Here is the fireplace mantel. The bull watched my every move!
The right ribbon makes all the difference in making a beautiful bow.
I clipped these little chickadees to the garland. I love little birds.

The way you interspersed glittery ribbon with the more rustic ribbons is the perfect way to add glamour to the otherwise more masculine, rustic style. It's lovely in it's simplicity.
