What is a quick and easy way to bleach a drop cloth in a sink or bathtub? How long would you leave the drop cloth in the water and bleach solution and how much bleach would you put in? Thanks

I have an off white slip-covered sofa and chair and use drop cloths over the cushions so the "grand-dog" can get on the furniture. It's easier to wash the drops cloths every week or so than it is to wash the slipcovers. I added about a cup of bleach the first time I washed the drop cloths in the washing machine and I'm always generous with the bleach with each successive washing. I would suggest just throwing them in the washer with a load of bleachable towels or sheets. Frankly, despite multiple bleachings, I have not seen much change in the color but they do get softer.

I am with Shari, Much easier to do it with the washing machine. If it does not fit, wash it in a public laundry in one of those huge washers.

yes washing machine and a large style works best for the agitation it needs to get clean and even bleaching done hope this helps.

Agree. Oversize tub. Wonder if you tried washing soda along with your detergent rather than bleach. Put it to soak for several hours. If the water looks grimy, then spin and redo. Works on oily, grimy, smelly pillowcases.
