A Vintage Industrial Christmas Wall Hanging

3.7K
I combined an industrial looking disk (it came out of an old kitchen and I'm not sure what it is!), some vintage blocks and greenery to create a unique Christmas wall hanging.

That is a rack that goes in the bottom of a pot to raise food up off the bottom of the pot. You usually see them in pressure cookers. I use mine for roasts as well.

It looks more like the part of the tray for the communion glasses in church. The top part that sits on a flat bottom and they stack inside.

I'm with Paula on what it is. With that being said however, it does resemble the communion cup holder as well; its SO clean 😉! Renee, did you find it this clean or did you clean it? ...... Is it aluminum or stainless? Aluminum = 100% kitchen, I believe Paula is correct that they came with the old pressure cookers , but I too use mine in my old aluminum Wagnerware Dutch oven. Oh well, regardless! ..... The REASON I got on to comment was to say this: I LOVE IT! It was the one picture featured on my feed that made me open the link! Simplistic, awesomeness! I have the " trivet" ( we'll call it) but not the blocks ..... I'll have to be on the look-out; thank you for sharing!

I absolutely love this! If I make one, I will have to look for something else to mount it on, as I don't have a pan rack (the downward facing 'dimple' on the bottom, along with the other two that are hidden behind the pine, allow it to sit above the bottom of the pan). Pinning now!
